People Helping People

Their motto is “People helping People” and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Campbell River #3097 does this very well.  Recently the Campbell River Aerie presented $1700 to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation towards the purchase of an Infant Stabilette for the Maternity Department.  These funds were raised over the last three years through an annual Bonspiel organized by the Campbell River # 3097 Aerie. On average, 400 babies are born in the Campbell River Hospital each year and an infant Stabilette is present at each birth.  This equipment is used to perform a baby’s first exam and health care measurements. The Stabilette also functions as a neonatal crash cart in the event there are complications after birth. The cost of a Stabilette is $25,000. Founded in 1898, the Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international non-profit organization uniting fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope.  You can support the doctors, nurses and other key members of your local healthcare team, and help ensure that you and your loved ones continue to receive first-class healthcare right here at home by donating on line at www.crhospitalfoudnation.ca or calling (250) 850-2418
