2011 is the inaugural year of the GREAT CANADA DAY BED RACE in the City of Campbell River. This event is organized jointly by the Campbell River Hospital Foundation & the Campbell River Daybreak Rotary Club.

The purpose is simple: to raise money while participating in a community-building event in downtown Campbell River. Families, Businesses, Schools and Community Organizations will partake in an exciting day of friendly competition by racing "beds" through a downtown course all in the name of community spirit and helping to raise money for two incredible charities.
