Mark your calendars for a day of fun and lots and lots of food at The Italian Cultural Society Annual Picnic at Miracle Beach Park. This all day event is perfect for family, friends and children of all ages, just bring your lawn chairs and sunscreen. If you have attended before, you'll know that this day is truly one for the whole family with games, races and activities planned. And the dinner, ah, what can we say about 80 kilos of spaghetti and 140 litres of sauce; over 1200 sausages and more than 500 hungry people? It speaks for itself. The Italian Cultural Society was started in 1996 as a non-profit society and over the years they have donated thousands of dollars to many local community groups from the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus Christmas Hamper, Food Bank and the Hospital Foundation.
