About Us

The Campbell River Hospital Foundation

The Campbell River Hospital Foundation was established in 1989 as the fundraising and community liaison arm of the Campbell River Hospital. In 1999 the Foundation expanded its mandate to include the Yucalta Lodge multi-level care facility.

The Campbell River Hospital Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to raising funds to support our hospital and Yucalta Lodge through equipment purchase, staff education and capital projects that help enhance the service and treatment of patients and residents.

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and bestows grants for equipment, health education and other projects. The role of the Board is to manage the Foundation funds prudently and to raise funds that will ensure the long term preservation of quality health care in Campbell River.

Each year over 2,000 individuals, businesses and community organizations make contributions to the foundation, leaving a legacy of health care excellence for future generations. To date, more than $4.5 million worth of equipment has been purchased.

From Our Patients

"I have recently been discharged from the Campbell River Hospital after a fifteen-day stay in the ICU and Telemetry Wards.

I have had extended stays in other BC Hospitals and can say that I have never received better care, or more cheerful care, than give by the staff at your hospital."
